BUDDY GUY 60

The Buddy Guy Signature amp is a sonic recreation of Buddy Guys number one 1959 amplifier . This is the amp that Buddy toured with and recorded with since the 60's. This is the amp that Buddy used to get those over the top tones before Marshall set Jimi Hendrix loose with their version of it. Its been a year in the works and we've finally got the thumbs up from Buddy. After touring with 4 protoypes for 6 months, Buddy hand selected this amp because of its matched qualities for tone and gain of his favorite recording and touring amp. The Buddy Guy Signature Amp is a sonic reproduction of Buddy's signature tones.

The chassis is built from custom made components that have been carefully selected to match the drift values of his 47 year old amp. The circuit is not an exact copy of his original 1959 amp but is an exact sonic reproduction. It has a new design that follows the design tradition of all Chicago Blues Box amps. The amp is built not only as a tone machine but is made to be highly reliable. Buddy has been touring for a year with these amps and has not one failure with the amps. Word back from Buddy's tech was that the Chicago Blues Box amps have been the most consistently reliable amps of any they have toured with in the past.

WHATS IN THE BUDDY GUY SIGNATURE AMP: 60 watts / 4x10 combo / Chicago Vintage 10" Custom / 2-6L6TAD / 3-12AX7 / 20' AC Cord / pine finger jointed cabinet / tweed black laquer finish / cane grill for its tonal transparent quality / hand wound paper interleaved output transformer / 1 Watt custom made resistors with drifted component values that match the original drift of Buddy's magic '59 / Custom made CTS pots made in the exact way they were made in 1959 (hand assembled with real carbon wafers and brass shafts) / The CTS pots match the drifted values of Buddy's volume pots (these pots are the real deal) / normal and bright channel, treble, mid, bass, presence, 4 input / Dual bias controls allow for individual tube biasing

KINGSTON 30 E 18

This amp is built in 18 or 30 watt 1x12 combo's with a 12" Ceramic Tone Tubby speaker. The electronics are all hand wired on fiber epoxy resin eyelet board for circuit stability and hand wired with stranded silver plated wire. The resistors are custom made using the same factory and process that Zenith audio used in 60's. All resistor values are 1 watt. The chassis is made from extra heavy steal and the cabinet is of traditional build using pine woods with finger jointed corners for long lasting strength. The cabinet features large rubber feet to absorb stage noise and vibration and the large leather handle makes it a breeze to carry. From recording to live performance this amp is any musicians tone machine. Also available in a 30 watt model capable of pushing 45 watts when fully clipped. See the Kingston 30 review in the February 2005 issue of 20th Century Guitar magazine.
